v2p439
145th Infantry, Second State Color. Composed of men from Erie, Warren, Crawford, and Mercer counties, the 145th was organized on September 5, 1862 and led by Colonel Hiram L. Brown, and later Colonel David B. McCreary. On June 16, 1864, most the regiment surrendered at Petersburg and the first state color was divided up among the regiment's guards and officers. It is unclear whether or not the survivors received the second state color before being mustered out on May 31, 1865.
