102nd Infantry, Second State Color. Composed of men from Allegheny and Butler counties, the 102nd was organized mainly from the soldiers of the three-month 13th Infantry. The regiment was assembled by the end of August 1861, and received the second state color in April 1864, due to the capture or loss of the first. The flag was retired from service in the winter of 1865 and was sent to Harrisburg. The regiment was mustered out of service on June 28, 1865.

102nd Infantry, National Color. Composed of men from Allegheny and Butler counties, the 102nd was organized mainly from the soldiers of the three-month 13th Infantry. The regiment was assembled by the end of August 1861, and in 1863 their first state color was either captured or was found in the Rappahannock River. A state color, identified as a "national" color was found in the state collection, however, evidence suggests that it was not the first state color. The flag is possibly a replacement for the

Third State Color lettered, "102d Reg't P.V.V." Composed of men from Allegheny and Butler counties, the 102nd was organized mainly from the soldiers of the three-month 13th Infantry. The regiment was assembled by the end of August 1861, and received the third state color in January 1865. The 102nd was mustered out of service on June 28, 1865.
