38th Infantry, (9th Reserves), Second State Color. The 38th was organized in June 1861, and was composed of men from Allegheny, Crawford, and Beaver counties. The second state color was received in December 1863, but was never carried in combat. The regiment was mustered out on May 13, 1864.
